Our board of Trustees consists of professionals from various backgrounds, each bringing with them valued skills and experience, needed for the successful running of the organization.



Juliet G Appiah, MD








Dr. Appiah was born in Ghana, then moved to Baltimore, Maryland. She is a board certified internist currently working as the Chief Medical Resident at the University of Connecticut.  She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received B.S. in General Biology. She received her MD from RUSM and then completed her residency training at the University of Connecticut in June 2012. In medical school, she was the co-president of the Organization of African Students Association and vice president of Ross Evangelical ministry.  She is passionate about preventing and curing malignancies, and she enjoys advocating for cancer survivors and hopes to be able to someday extend her services to developing countries that lack quality health care.  Aside from patient care, she loves spending time with family, friends, and socializing with her colleagues.  She follows current events in Africa very closely and always enjoys a good discussion on the goings on of the cricket world.  She is an avid runner and travels as much as possible.



Mr. Joy Kwakuyi









Mr. Kwakuyi is a Registered Nurse and Business Development Professional working at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and the Eastern Connecticut Health Network. Currently studying at The University of South Alabama, Mr. Kwakuyi is pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree. He has worked as an Assistant Vice President at the Bank of America, Personal Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase, Trade and Investment Officer at the British High Commission in Ghana, Business Development Officer at ASNAPP – a USAID-funded program, and Project Manager at Wilson Consortium Limited. He holds Bachelor’s Degrees from the University of Connecticut and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana) including a Master’s Degree from the Imperial College London. Mr Kwakuyi enjoys hosting events, traveling, and socializing with family and friends.



Miss. Linda Aidoo









Miss Aidoo is a Database Analyst at Yale New Haven Health Services. She had previously worked at Albertus Magnus College; providing database support as well as assisting with financial reporting on all donations to the College. Linda has a bachelor’s degree in Business Info Systems from ECSU and masters degree, MBA from SCSU.



Ms. Juanitta Quist


Ms. Quist is a current Physician Assistant student at Springfield College. She is passionate about helping people, especially disenfranchised and underserved population to obtain the proper healthcare needed. She was a previous emergency room liaison at St Vincent hospital in Worcester, MA. She enjoys working and mentoring youth through Big Brother Big Sister and Upward Bound Programs of Worcester State University. She finds herself experimenting with different food recipes, reading, and socializing with family and friends at her leisure.
